Hyped by VJ Whilz, the Deaftone Company and The Link Up 360 presented event; Let's Go House with Dj Evamic wowed music and party lovers to a frenzy this past weekend with electrifying display of talent from the wheels of steel. Spurred by the need to introduce
variety into the already existing music genres we commonly enjoy, Let's Go House took place at Sueno Bar in Wuse II, Abuja.
Asked how the event is different from any other musical event/party, he said "House music is not just our everyday secular music, and so the need to keep music lovers constantly connected to the love for music is to give them variety. House music is a very energetic, sometimes soulful and dance-oriented genre of song that is not common in Nigeria. The only way to bring this fine blend of beats to our consciousness is to organize events such as this." He further added, "This is just the first edition and so, we hope to be pushing out bigger, better and well attended editions subsequently. Nigerian artistes such as Wizkid, Niniola and a few others have started infusing these unique sounds into their music, which is quite encouraging."
Born Nzei Michael Henry, Dj Evamic is a passionate, energetic and talented Abuja-based disc jockey, musician and an Electrical and Electronics graduate from Dorben Polytechnic, Bwari in Abuja. He is from Delta State. He made his music debut in 2012 with the title Bolanle featuring Baseline Records label star boy, Skales. He also has another song titled 1 Week with its video currently enjoying airplays.
