Over the past weekend, Abuja entertainers, practitioners and stakeholders convened through the
annual Abuja Entertainment Seminar 2016 (AESeminar 2016), put together by 41Naija Entertainment group, to discuss ways which the economy can grow through investing in local contents such as the entertainment sector, particularly in Abuja.
In
a speech given by the Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications
Commissions (NCC), Mr Tony Ojobo, represented by Mr Oko, he hinted
heavily on the need for entertainers to create meaningful content, and
how important the ICT is to promoting the frontiers of entertainment,
and providing sustainable economy in Nigeria, particularly in Abuja,
where the entertainment lifestyle is barely thriving.
Renowned
music producer, TeeY Mix, who was also one of the speakers present at
the seminar, gave a speech about building a brand. He stated the
importance of branding and the need for entertainers to be unique,
creative and original in their crafts, as well as producing viable
contents.
The
event which was hosted by popular Abuja-based OAP Big Mo and moderated
by Oge Kimono, saw sizzling performances from Shortcut, Morell, Matilda,
Alternate Sound, Jessica Bongus and a host of others.
Mode
9, Paul Play, Terry tha Rapman, Chuks D General, Andy Madaki of iBlend
Services, Prof. Sunnie Ododo, Jessica Bongos, Blessing Tagban, Rex
Idaminabo, Tunde of Stylplus, Adila, Kalada Hart of Tatafo Naija, Bamike
Olawunmi, Chinedu Romeo Oji, Gospelondebeatz, and a host of others
graced the just concluded AESeminar in its 2nd edition, which was
recorded a success.
