Abuja OAP, Big Mo, gets nominated for MAYAAwardsAfrica

Top Abuja OAP and Actor, Moses Nwokedi of Wazobia FM,  known mostly as Big Mo, surely has the year looking bright for him already. He just got nominated at the MoreKlue All Youths Awards Africa (#MAYAAwardsAfrica) for On Air Personality of the Year. 

He is the only Abuja OAP that got nominated for the awards. He alongside Godwin Aruwayo (Naija FM, Lagos), Sakadeli (Rave FM, Osogbo), Labizzy (Rainbow FM, Lagos), Kolade Dominate (Raypower FM, Ibadan), Maria Okan (Beat FM, Lagos) and Vien (City FM, Lagos) would be vying for votes under the On Air Personality of Year category of the awards. 

Others nominated for the awards include Swanky Jerry, Sexy Steel, Stephanie Coker, Happy Feet Design, Tens Events, Joey Akan, Frank Edwards, Adesua Etomi, Tayo Sobola, Wole Ojo, Femi Soro, Olere, R2Bees, Tekno, Titi Jeje, Ugo Jesse, Surulere, Humblesmith, just to mention a few.     

Nollywood actress Juliet Ibrahim, Biodun Okeowo, The Pamilerin, Demola Expoze, Comdian Ushbebe, etc, are previous awardees at MAYawardsAfrica. 

#MAYAAwardsAfrica will hold on Sunday, February 5th, 2017, at BAMBOO HALL, Omole Phase 1, Lagos.

#MAYAAwardsAfrica, in its fourth edition, is an annual all youth awards designed to showcase & celebrate achievers whose works, causes and businesses have continued to help in the sustenance of the Nigerian economy and unity. The awards platform is out to uplift and add more to the values of an average Nigerian youth and work towards the eradication of societal decadence and moral dissipation of our youths with no political or religious affiliation.

Amb. Kingsley Amafibe lashes out at big brands over entertainment sponsorship in Abuja


The South South Progressive Awards (SSPA) President, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, has decried the poor condition of entertainment outside Lagos, particularly in the FCT.

In a recent Instagram and Facebook post on his pages, he lashed out at big brands over entertainment sponsorship, particularly in Abuja He wrote this on his Facebook page: ”Entertainment outside Lagos is dying because big brands hardly sponsor events outside Lagos. This is the question I keep asking myself, why is it that big brand don’t think of supporting events outside Lagos? Yet sometimes, we promote their products without even getting any support from them.

I guess, directors of this big brands in Nigeria, should look beyond Lagos. There’s so much opportunities to sell your products. Please support initiative that promote youth empowerment. Amb. Kingsley Amafibe."

 He rounded up by saying Abuja and other cities TV Stations need to start promoting local content too instead of showing Lagos event content every time.   

Amb Kingsley Amafibe is also the President of one of Nigeria’s biggest pageant Miss Ambassador For Peace and Peace Achievers Awards.
